It’s back and better than ever! The Moreton Bay Region’s biggest celebration, Redcliffe Festival, is returning to the Redcliffe Peninsula with three massive weekends of events for the whole family from 26 August to 10 September. Bringing the whole family along might sound pricey, but it doesn’t have to be! ATM2GO bring us the best tips to get the most out of your Redcliffe Festival experience without breaking the bank:

Have a budget

When it comes to saving money for families, having a budget is a must! A good idea is to give each of your kids a budget for the day for the activities, rides and things they want to do and buy. $20 each could mean an ice cream, a pony ride and a face painting! Parents can save money by having a food budget for for the whole family at an event. If you happen to need more cash, ATM2GO ATM’s will be available at every Redcliffe Festival event for your convenience!

1. Family Pass

Jetty Fiesta, Scarborough Sounds and Redcliffe Remembers are all FREE to attend, and What’s Cooking in the Gardens is an easy gold coin entry. Grab a Redcliffe Family Pass online or at the gate for better value – the pass includes 2 adults and 2 children (or 1 adult and 3 children) for $20.00, saving you around $6!

2. Kids & Concessions

Children under the age of 2 get in to KiteFest for free! If you have a student in the family, get them to bring along and present their student card at the cate for a discount from $8 entry to $5. Every little bit helps!

3. Check out Free Live Entertainment

From celebrity chefs live on stage at What’s Cooking in the Gardens, to roving street performers at Jetty Fiesta and amazing live musicians and bands at Scarborough Sounds- main stage entertainment is always free to enjoy.

4. Locate the ATM’s & Have Cash on hand

Most market vendors, rides and activities are cash only, so it’s good to have cash on you for the day ahead. Luckily ATM2GO’s mobile ATM’s will be on location at all Redcliffe Festival events!

5. Make the Most of Free Zones

KiteFest will be bursting with free fun for kids! Watch kites fly in the Sky Zone, see Paw Patrol and Trolls live on the Main Stage, and  enjoy interactive and exciting activities and workshops for kids at Bupa Splatt Nation. The KiteFest Kids Zone will have free art activities, TeePee Musical Village, Jumping Castles, Trampoline and Lego Workshop.

6. Take Water

Don’t waste money buying plastic water bottles- bring your drink bottle from home and refill at the bubblers available to save cash!

7. Check Parking & Public Transport Information

Nobody likes expensive paid parking or big parking fines! Head to the Redcliffe Festival website for parking and transport notices; these will tell you where the recommended parking is or how best to get to the event to save you time, money and frustration. Redcliffe KiteFest has a free shuttle bus operating from 8.30am-4.30pm.

Redcliffe Festival runs over three huge weekends of events from 26 August to 10 September, with an awesome family-friendly program of free and ticketed events across the Peninsula! There is something for everyone!
