Scarborough Sounds is on Sunday 3rd September at Scarborough Park, Scarborough. The event kicks off at 4pm and wraps up at 8pm.

How Much is Entry

This live music event is completely free to enter! Just bring your family and settle in for a relaxing afternoon of live entertainment at the seaside.

Parking

There is plenty of nearby parking in two key areas:

1.       Street Parking on Kennedy Esplanade

2.       Existing Car Park Queens Beach (off Flinders Parade); this car park is approximately an 800m-1km easy walk to the event.

No B.Y.O

This is a strictly no BYO event, so no alcohol will be permitted to be brought in to the vicinity. But don’t worry- you can grab a glass of wine or cold beer at the Bar. The Bar will be open all afternoon until 8pm for your enjoyment.

Scarborough Beach Park

If you aren’t familiar with the facilities around Scarborough Beach Park, here’s what you need to know.

Scarborough Beach Park is:

·         Close to cafes and takeaway food options

·         Overlooking the ocean, sheltered by Moreton Island for calm water and opportunities for sand and water play

·         Fenced playground with themed play areas

·         Taps and water fountains

·         Fenced Cotton Tree Forest which is full of twisting cottonwood trees for kids to climb

Bring Camping Chairs & Picnic Blanket

Don’t forget to bring a camping chair or two and picnic blanket to secure your spot on the grass and for a comfy place to sit back and relax as you watch live acts perform on the Main Stage. When the sun goes down it will get chilly, so remember to bring jumpers for when it cools down in the evening.

Food

There will be a range of food trucks on site at Scarborough Sounds; including Hungarian Langos, Woodfired Pizza, Potato Swirls, Crepes & more delicious food available to purchase. If you want to bring your own afternoon tea or dinner in with you, you are allowed to bring in a picnic of your own!

Bonfire

The huge Bonfire on the beach is always a hit with adults and kids alike! There will also be a series of bonfire drums along the waterfront. Please note that the bonfire is weather dependent and will not go ahead if weather conditions are poor.

Scarborough Sounds is on Sunday 3rd September from 4pm-8pm at Scarborough Park, Scarborough as part of Redcliffe Festival.
