Can KiteFest tickets be purchased online?
Yes. You can purchase your tickets online from our website. Tickets for entry and KiteFest Karnival can also be purchased on the day, and yes we do have an eftpos machine,. However, it is a good idea to bring cash with you to avoid unnecessary waiting periods.
I am a carer of a disabled person, do I have to pay entry?
No. Disability carers get in for free with identification. But their client must pay for their entry into the festival. Pricing information here
Are there pass-outs at Redcliffe KiteFest?
Yes! Festival patrons can leave the event and re-enter ON THE SAME DAY. The gate security guard will attach the wrist band for you.
Are dogs permitted at Redcliffe Festival?
No. No matter how cute they are or how much they beg you to come, the 2016 Redcliffe KiteFest has introduced a strict no-dog policy. Please leave your fur-babies at home.
For public safety, we politely ask that you leave pets at home for the all other events in the Redcliffe Festival portfolio.
Where can I breastfeed & change my baby?
There will be a designated ‘Bubz Hub’ located in the KiteFest Kidz Zone. Facilities include baby change facilities, comfy chairs for breastfeeding and a microwave. More information on the KiteFest Kidz Zone here
Is there shaded areas near the KiteFest Main Stage?
Not really. There is a little shade, but otherwise the Main Stage area and table spaces are out in the open. Unfortunately windy conditions of the festival, make it to dangerous to have umbrellas available. There is ample shade to enjoy your lunch around the main kite display arena.
Is there Redcliffe Festival Merchanise for sale?
Yes. The merchandise tent is located behind the KiteFest Main Stage. Whilst you’re there, pop over and get your photo snapped in the Visit Moreton Bay Region Kombi Photobooth!
Are there disabled toilets?
Yes. There are actually three disabled toilets spread throughout the festival grounds.
What if it's been raining?
KiteFest is a go unless we advise otherwise on the website, email or via social media.
Is there a shuttle bus service?

Please note that prams and wheelchairs are permitted on the Shuttle Bus.
Is there off street parking?
Yes. KiteFest has a range of parking solutions here
What items are banned from the festival?
Restricted or Banned Items include:
- Weapons of any kind
- Pepper spray/mace
- Illicit Substances
- Fireworks & Flares
- Glass bottles
- Any other items deemed to be unsuitable by event staff
Any person or persons found within the event area in the possession of any of the above items will be removed from the site.
Can I BYO alcohol?
No. You cannot bring alcohol into the festival. We do have a bar serving alcoholic beverages located in the the Main Stage food court area.
Can I bring food into the festival?
Yes. However, please do not bring anything in glass.
Where do I locate lost property?
If you’ve lost an item during the day at KiteFest, please head to the Information Tent behind the Main Stage. If the item is not there, we ask that you leave your phone number with staff and a description of the lost item. We often come across lost property after the event has closed for the day.
Lost property is kept by Redcliffe Festival at their head office at 55 Miller St, Kippa Ring Qld 4021, for a period of four weeks. Please call 07 3897 4999 post KiteFest to see if we have your lost item.
Are there ATM's on-site?
Yes! We have three ATM machines located around the festival, near the Bar in the Main Stage area, next to the Information Tent and just outside the Kidz Karnival.
Is there a cloak room?
No. There are no cloak room facilities at Redcliffe Festival.
Is there allocated areas for smokers?
Yes. We have two locations, one down by the boat ramp and another by the top toilet block. Please visit the Information Tent behind the Main Stage if you are finding them difficult to locate.
