Redcliffe is a place filled with wonderful stories and attractions for the history books and beyond. Residents from all across the region can learn things they never knew before about the history of Redcliffe and its people. A part of the history of Redcliffe Festival itself, the team from BallyCara will be on site at Redcliffe Remembers to share their own insight into the history of the peninsula.

With Redcliffe Remembers this September 10th, take a step back and relive the glory days of Redcliffe with these nostalgic attractions and performances.

Re-enactment of the first European Settlement and Indigenous Welcome

This year marks 193 years since the first European settlement in Redcliffe, Queensland, when John Oxley sailed into Moreton Bay. Relive with a re-enactment right along the beach, together with the welcome by local indigenous representatives from the Gubbi Gubbi people and members from the Queensland Colonial Association.

Penny Arcade

Step back in time and re-visit one of Redcliffe’s most treasured past times – the Penny Arcade! Originally situated under the rotunda on the Redcliffe Jetty in the 1800’s, this arcade was a hit with young and old alike. This year, the Penny Arcade has been recreated with a modern twist – featuring arcade games such as air hockey, pinball machine, twin shooter, foosball and more!
