From organic gardening tips to edible flowers – those who treasure their gardens won’t want to miss a minute. In 2017, What’s Cooking in the Gardens? welcomes Gardening Australia host, Costa Georgiadis.

Costa Georgiadis

Costa Georgiadis has been the host of Gardening Australia, the ABC’s iconic gardening show, since 2012, when he became only the third host in 23 years. Previously, he was the host and co-creator of Costa’s Garden Odyssey for SBS television where he first caught the attention of the nation, sharing his knowledge and passions with one and all. Costa is a landscape architect who has an all-consuming passion for plants and people – he knows how to bring out the best in both of them, and takes great pleasure in bringing them together. He believes in embracing and celebrating Mother Nature’s cycles and seasons and nurturing her balance, beauty and bounty organically. His holistic approach is all about gardening the soil and the soul. Costa’s charm, charisma and passion make him a particularly appealing public speaker who has a gift for making his important messages engaging and highly entertaining.

Paul’s purpose is to help restore the relationship between people and bees by promoting healthy practices in a clean environment where bees are respected, nurtured, and valued for the amazing creatures that they are. Learn how to care for bees in a healthy backyard hive. The Top Bar Hive is designed to be sympathetic to the bees’ lifestyle. It is a very simple, clean, healthy and intimate way of caring for bees.

Peter Kearney (My Food Garden)

Peter Kearney’s hands on approach to food gardening started in his childhood. His wisdom with organic and biodynamic food growing is from many years of experience in working with the principles in his own large food gardens, designing food growing spaces for his clients, mentoring aspiring organic food growers and consulting in larger scale urban agriculture via his business at Peter lives in Samford Valley and is an experienced presenter and educator with a very earthy style.
